A trader (trader — "a merchant") is a participant in the financial market who buys and sells assets in order to profit from changes in their price. In the cryptocurrency sphere, the objects of trading are coins, tokens and derivative instruments, and deals are made on exchanges, P2P platforms and other trading services.
Approaches to trading
Traders differ in their time horizon and style of work. Some focus on short-term movements and make many trades during the day, while others hold positions longer, relying on trend analysis. To make decisions, they use technical analysis (the study of charts and indicators) and fundamental analysis (the assessment of projects, technologies and market context).
Trading involves market risk: the price of an asset can move both in the trader's favor and against them. Therefore, a professional approach implies discipline, risk management, limiting position size and a conscious attitude toward volatility. It is important to remember that trading results are not guaranteed and depend on many factors.
